                      Begin the planning  arid'implemeritation of automation and
                 other provisions in design which will allow reduction in
                 reliance on manual labor for operation of the sewage treatment

                      CONCLUilON 13:

                      The Kuwait city sewage has sulphato (So.) concentration
                 which exceeds normal expectations by a factor of twenty (20)
                 or more.

                      RECOMMENDATION 13:

                      Determine'the reasons  for the extremely high ;evels of
                 sulfates in the Kuwait city sewage. (MPW)

                      CONCLUSIONS #4 & 5:

                      4. odors and odor control were a major concern prior to
                 the invasion in Au@t 1990. A very significant investment
                     been mad* for odor control provisions within the sewage
                 collection system.

                      S. Currently,, complaints of odors will be common. T   his
                -is a concern of HPW.
                      RECOMMINDATION f4:

                      The Project Manager should consider the contingency plan
                 in Appendix B for expedient odor control. (MPW)
