                                          COMMANDER'S NARRATIVE SUMMARY
                                                    (Continued)

            307th EN: Submitted: 15 Nov 70

Cdr's Comments: We are making plans to send the 618 EN CO (-) to work for
Corps starting on Saturday. They will be detached until the new year. We will
detach A&B Plt from lst Bde and bring it back under BN control for the interim.
Division needs to determine who will occupy PANTHER BASE with 3d Bde so we can
work out a Master Plan for their LSA. Battalion plans for Safety Day are
            attached.

Cdr's Comments: We continue to be critically short of Arabic linguists. This
problem has been evident for several weeks but is more of a problem now owing
to return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists. At this point in time, we have
21 14nguists on hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission
with high standards. We will conduct Round Robin Safety training for Division
Safety Day. This will consist of PT, weapons and maintenance/vehicular safety.

Cdr's Comments; Battery A (-) returned to CHAMPION MAIN upon completion of the
TF 3-504th PIR EXEVAL. Battery B (-) is providing air defense and, or order,
VULCAN ground fires in support of the 82d AVN BDE at AA PEGASUS. Battery C
concluded air defense support for the 3-505th PIR EXEVAL train-up. Tomorrow
the Battalion will conduct classes and inspections oriented toward providing a
