         Cdr's Comments: Battalion Safety Week is going well. We have received two
         additional mu 'Itichannel relays for the Division CPX to install the systems from
         DMAIN to the 18-90 AO. We will begin emplacing the multichannel backbone (from
         DMAIN to NODE) tomorrow.

         Cdr's Comments: Sent @ep to meeting at ARCENT today ref. 3d Bde LSA; MFR to
         follow. Sent recbn to Ist CAV DIV area today to estimate Corps requirement +or
         road project. This should determine how much (if any) of the 618 Co we will
         detach. Fire base project for DIVARTY at ALI Range finishes tomorrow.

         Cdr's Comments: We continued    to be critically  short of Arabic linguists. This
         problem has been evident for several weeks but    is more of a problem now owing
         to return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists.     At this point in time, we have
         21 linguists on hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission
         with high standards.

         Cdr's Comments; Battery   A is  providing air defense  support for the   3-504th
         EXEVAL. Battery B (-)' is providing air defense and, on order, VULCAN ground
(-) continues to
         provide air defense support   of the 3-505th EXEVAL train up with 3d VULCAN
         Platoon, 3d Stinger Section, and 4th TDAR Section.
