COMMANDER'S NARRATIVE SUMMARY
IST BDE: Submitted: 07 Nov 90
Cdr's Comments: The DTO and MCC proved extremely effective in assisting the BDE in
movement from CHAMPION MAIN to Training Area BEACH, well over lOOkm. The movement
of an entire Tank Battalion and almost two additional Infantry Battalions, over a
three day period, was instrumental to the successful initiation of the EXEVAL.
Because of the great distances involved in the movement of the brigade and the
support of these forces in a hostile desert environment, continued support will be
required to ensure the success of this operation.

Cdr's Comments: 3-505's notional mass casualty operation went as planned. A UH-IV
MEDEVAC from the 10th Mountain Division participated as medics from 3-505 radioed a
medevac request and set up an LZ. Three notional critically wounded soldiers were
evacuated back to CHAMPION MAIN and eleven less seriously wounded soldiers were
treated at the 3-505 aid station. CNN was present during the operation.
