          Cdr's Comments: There are potential problems with DISCOM's selection for their LSA.
          It appears to be atop sabkhat. Will confirm. Progress at PEGASUS BASE is good;
          will withdraw equipment used for Phase I within days. Preparing for projects at ALI
          and KHALID Range, to include DIVARTY fire base and 3-73 TTS Range. Also working
          closely with 3d Bde to insure their LSA development is on line. We have acquired
          some data on Italian mines (used by Iraq) from the manufacturer. May be of use to
          G-2.

          Cdr's Comments: We continued to be critically short of Arabic linguists. This
          problem has been evident for several weeks but is more of a problem now owing to
          return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists. At this point in time, we have 21
          linguists an hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission with high
          standards.

          Cdr's Comments: Battery A is providing air defense support for the 3-504th EXEVAL.
          Battery B (-) prepares to assume the Team Delta (-) mission of providing air defense
          and, if required, ground fires in support of the 82d Aviation Brigade at AA PEGASUS.
irteen (13) critical Stinger HMMWVs and twenty-one (21) personnel
          continues to be my top deployment priority.
