           Cdr's Comments: The recent arrival of MILES will significantly enhance training.
           With the upcoming 3-504 Battalion EXEVAL the realistic training gained from
           force-on-force training with MILES, especially in the AAD, is sure to make this a
           quality evaluation. The additional realism provided by training with the MILES will
           also increase trooper awareness and enthusiasm in the training.

           been identified and are working. EXEVAL brief to the CO still scheduled for
           0800 3 Nov. 1-505 squad EXEVALs brought to light the necessity to focus on clearing
           trenchlines. Many lessons learned were incorporated throughout the week.

           CDR's Comments: Today's JAAT cancellation, due to the unexpected removal of our
           OPFOR support for MOA 19A, frustrated our attempts at conducting training in that
           training area. Tomorrow's training will include USAF assets working in concert with
           our attack companies.

           Cdr's Comments: Division units have been instructed to use only lubricants
           authorized by individual weapons TMs or TM 9-1000-DS-3 an the M249 SAW. DISCOM's
           LSA request was approved by XVIII Abn Corps and forwarded to ARCENT for action.

           S-73 ARMOR:                                                 Submitted: 01 @- 90

           Cdr's Comments: Require additional smoke grenade stocks to mark positions for CAS
           missions. All 19D's (non deployables excluded) at Fort Bragg need to be shipped to
           Saudi Arabia ASAP. All new 19D's must go through the school of the Sheridan and TTS
           transition prior to being fully integrated Tank Crew. 15 Nov 90 is a good target
           date +or receiving all 19D's left at Fort Bragg.
