   ii. (U) AVIATION ORDINANCE ROE


            a. (U) Shoot all identified enemy personnel, vehicles, aircraft
   or facilities, day or night, unless they are obviously attempting to
   surrender or defect. Commanders must instruct soldiers an allied markings
   Decause IRAQ employs many of the same aviation, weapon systems and
   ,vehicles as do US Allies.


            b. (U) When personnel in civilian clothing, civilian vehicles,
   or civilian facilities have been identified by ground or aerial observers
   =ts engaged in military operations, aircraft may engage those personnel,
   vehicles, or -Facilities as enemy -Forces.

            C. (U) All on-board weapons systems (TOW, Hellfire, 2.75"
   'PAR/HYDRA-70, 20mm, 25mm, 7.62mm MG) are authorized for deployment and
   .tse. All warhead/-Fuze combinations are authorized for deployment and use.

            d. (U) All aviation ordinance fire will be observed -Fire.

            e. (U) When used in the ground mount role, the M-60D machine
   gun is governed by the Infantry ROE.

   .2. (U) CHEMICAL ORDINANCE ROE

            a. (U) Toxic chemical agents will not be deployed or used
   -jithout prior release from the President. When release authority has been
   granted, specific ROE for their use will be promulgated by the Corps
   :ommander.


            b. (U) Riot Control Agents (RCA) will not be deployed or used
   in combat without prior release from the President. When release has been
   'granted, RCA may be used only in defensive military modes to save lives,
   Such as:


                (1) (U) In riot control situations in areas under direct
   -and distinct US military control, to include controlling rioting prisoners
   :)-F war-.
  (2) (U) In situations in which civilians are used to mask
   or screen enemy attacks and civilian casualties can be reduced or avoided
   .Dy the use of RCA,-
