    -4. (U) RESCUE COMBAT AIR PATROL (RESCAP) ROE

            a. (U) Rescue Combat Air Patrol and other search and rescue
    .iircra+t shall use force as necessary to protect US or allied survivors
    -rom any enemy force.

            b. (U) Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) aircraft and crewmembers
    nay carry and use individual small arms for their personal protection and
    -he protection of their patients. Arming of MEDEVAC aircraft with M-60D
    n,Achine guns is not authorized.

    :5. (U) USE OF LASERS ROE. Laser range finders and target designators
    jill be considered weapons for the purpose of determining ROE. They may
    )e used only under those conditions which would allow -Friendly forces to
    :?mploy small arms fire.

    '.6. (U) SPECIAL OPERATIONS ROE.


            a.       SO combat operations in areas other than the combat zone
    4ill require CINCCENT or higher approval.

            b. (U) All paragraphs of these ROE apply to SO.
