MEMORANDUM FOR Commander, XVIII Airborne Corps
SUBJECT: Law and Order Significant Activities (SIBACTS)
1. The SIBACTS document is a recurring report that is submitted weekly to
keep you informed a4 important incidents occurring within the XVIII
Airborne Corps area of operations.
2. This report covers XVIII Airborne Corps reportable incidents within
theater from 0500, 30 Sep 90 to 0500 hours, 7 Oct 90- These incidents are
addressed at paragraphs 3 and 4. Additionally, at paragraph 5 is the
number of soldiers found by military police to be in violation of policy
letter 1-10i subject: Entry Into Populated Areas. At paragraph 6 is the
number of speeding citations issued for the week.
3. Nomdivision&l Unitii
a. (525th MI Bde) Traffic Accident. On 30 Sep 90, a Warrant Officer
from B Go, 319 MI Bnl was struck by a Saudi national who backed his
Chevrolet into the Warrant Of*icer's parked Nissan (leased) sedan. The
accident occurred adjacent to the front gate of Camp Brede. Both Saudi
Police and US Military Police responded. The Saudi national was found to
be at fault (t',PR# 62250).
b. (18th Finance Group) Traffic Accident. On 3 Oct 90, a SGT from
the 107th Finance Support Unit, while traveling south on King Fahd Road in
a Nissan bus, was struck by a Saudi national who made a sudden lane change
to the SST's front. There was minor property damage to both vehicles
howeverg there were no reported injuries. Both Saudi police and US
Military Police responded to the accident. The Saudi national was found to
be at fault (MPR# 62289).
c. (HHC, XVIII Abn Corps) Tra+4ic Accident. On 3 Oct 90, a CPT from
XVIII Abn Corps PAO, while operating a Toyota sedan and traveling north an
the Bahrain highway adjacent to the entrance to Dragon City, attempted to
make a left turn and was struck by a Saudi national trying to pass on the
left median. There was property damage to both vehicles but no reported
injuries. Both Saudi police and US Military Police responded to the
accident. The Saudi national was found to be at fault (MPR# 62309).
d. (44th Medical Bdo) Traffic Accident. On 5 Oct 90, a-SeT from 2ethl-
CSH, while operating a 5 ton wrecker traveling southwest on the :, . : @-11@ '
Dhahran-Jubayl Road, made a lane change and-struck a Renault.sedan being
operated by a Saudi national. There was property damage to both vehicles;
however, there were no reported injuries. US Military Police investigated
the accident. Saudi police were called but did not respond;.. The SGT was
at fault for making an improper lane change (MPR# 623=). ...
