           4. (U) TITLE: SUMMARY - Phase I - LAO, Fort Riley



           5. (U) EXEUTIVE SUMMARY FOR LAO, FORT RILEY

                 a. Activation and deployment of this magnitude, coupled
           with the stepped-up time restraints, provided an unprecedented
           opportunity to test total Army capabilities. The Lessons
           Learned will prove to be very valuable tools for improving
           future mobilization of forces.

                 b. The Army.Material Command (AMC) and each "w area LAO
           has been tested and the Lessons Learned will be very beneficial.

                 C. AMC/LAOs will be aggressively involved in the
           redeployment of units. We plan to actively work with supported
           units, provide supply and maintenance assistance to bring
           equipment back to standards for turn-in, or reissue, disposal,
           or cannibalization, etc. The LAO expects a much smoother
           operation during'the deployment build down.
