             What follows is an extraction of my reports to higher from today;

#I. XVIII CORPS OPERATIONAL STATUS: No significant problems
noted with combat systems. #2. TASK ORGANIZATION: NO CHANGE.
             FLOT: 6TH LT AR DIV(FRENCII), 101st DIV (AASLT), 24TH ID(M), and
3rd ACR are screening along PL RAZOR in zone. #5. REMARKS: #I.
Dust pallative is and will continue to be an essential product.
CORPS is currently experiencing problems in MSR construction
because of a lack of dust pallative. This problem will be
magnified during pH III and may affect operational tempo. The
problem has two aspects. A- availability of the product. B-
hauling the product when it is available. ARCFNT ENG, CPTs
Reichert and Cahill, are working the issue. They report that they
may need to raise this as one of the top five issues with the
Saudi government. This elevation of the issue should be supported
in order to get the pallative in the quickest manner possible.
             ------------------------------------------------------------------
          11. CORPS planners are working on conplans for future ops.
#2. CORPS units are focused on force protection and preparation
for combat. 13. M3A2 NET for 3rd ACR is on track and should be
finished on the 20th. #5. HETS carrying the heavy armor Mls for
3rd ACR should arrive in the CORPS AO tonight. #6. loist
conducted a detailed aerial recce to determine targets for future
opns. #7. 101st will conduct a combined arms air assault raid on
an enemy company (vic NU 5318) from 200500 to 201800 C. Plan
currently calls for artillery battery to be lifted into position.
Battery will fire in conjunction with an AH company. Following
the arty and AH firing an infantry company will sweep the target
area. Additionally the loist will conduct a daylight zone
reconnaissance of MSR Now Market, to select flight routes to FOB
COBRA and to identify and report enemy locations for future
operations. #8. 24th will conduct an artillery raid
