             @ el 1
                613. 221947 Maj Cerris day in review:
                - The report from 24th about overrunning an MRL was an
error. - Unable to contact VII Corps LNO tm all day. LTC
Novak had the same problem with the HQ at VII Corps. THe
problem is on the VII Corps end. - MARCENT reprots that
they received an erranous report from their FOX vehicles
today. There was no chemical attack in MARCENT AO. The 2
LAI did go over the border to establish a screen for
artillery to move into position to fire artillery raids.
When the 2LAI went over the border they got into a fire
fight. As of 1500 it was still going on, this was some 15
hours into the action. They had captured around 100 EPW.
Grid for the action was QT 6001. - JFCE rNO team reports
that they took a 1 and a half artillery barrage earlier
today. No casualities reported. Action was vie Kafji. An
additional item of interest was a mine field breech that they
conducted. 2 Cos had been out on a ground recon when they
came up to the first obstacle bait. No one was shooting at
them so they decided to breech the mine ficls. A company
commander cleared the first mine and then had a quick class
for the rest of the soldiers after which they proceeded to
pick up the mincs. They created a breech 50 meters wide on
the friendly side that narrowed to about 10 meters wide on
the enemy side. THey brought about 75 mines back to the TOC
with them. Breech site is TM 29366327. - JFCN had nothing
to report. The following is an embellishment of the reports
that Cerri sent to ARCENT today:
