individual redirect mail for individuals and sections located
in the rear area will be redirected by the unit to the main
APO 09657 location for redirect service back to the 336th
Postal Company. See Appendix 3 for explanation.
(4) (U) REPLACEMENT OPERATIONS: Replacement
Operations will be conducted by an augmentation replacement
detachment attached to HHC let COSCOM. With assistance from
HHC, let COSCOM, this detachment-.will receive. house, feed
&nd process all COSCOM replacements from the Corps
Replacement Detachment. It is assumed that this detachment
will be located forward in the vicinity of the COSCOM CP.
Units will normally be required to come back to the Repo for
pickup of replacements. Replacement will be attached to MSC9
on orders by 0-1 PMD based on current PRR'G submitted to GI
by the MSCG and the prioritization Of support provided by the
03/Commander. The accuracy and timely submission of the PRR
as well as spot report updates cannot be overemphasized.
(5) (U) CASUALTIES: Commanders are advised that
once hostilities commence, it will be virtually impossible
for units/commanders to track the location and/or status of
evacuated personnel. Once a soldier is evacuated by
his/her unit then an inventory of personal property should be
conducted and property safeguarded. Mail should be
redirected to 'search' and appropriate SIDPERS transaction
entry provided to the ?SC. Hopefully many of these evacuees
will be return to duty in a few days to his/her parent unit.
It is also possible that their return to duty soldiers will
be reassigned to an entire new unit based upon the tactical
eplacements. The resulting
reassignment confusion will probably not be upon outbreak of
hostilities. See Appbndix 2 for explanation of services and
sorted out until the sensation of hostilities.
(6) (U) INSPECTOR GENERAL (IGI: The IO will be
colocated with the MAIN CP. Primarily to handle special
inspections. One IO representative will be located in the
rear to cover those soldiers remaining at the rear locations.
(7) (U) RED CROSS: Will initially be located in
the COSCOM Rear. As message center becomes available they
will then operate from the COSCOM Main location to provide
better support to units displaced forward. Telephonic
notification from the ARC to the MSCA will continue as
primary means for notification. Upon commencement of
hostilities Red Cross message traffic will be restricted to
bona fide emergencies involving soldiers immediate family.
(8) (U) MORALE WELFARE & RECREATION (MWR): All MWR
programs are on hold until further notice; in addition; Half
Moon Bay allocations will be returned to CORPS. Units should
take organic MWR equipment with them as they displace to
