         DATE/TIME ACTIVITY PERSON MAKING
                                                                     ENTRY
         ----------------------------------------------------------------

SFC Seibe, 74th, informed us that MOPP Bupp
level is at 1. Informed SGM Atkinson and
                      SFC Paksi.

2205 LTC Reese, ARCENT G3 called reference Bupp
response to an ammo fire on MSR Sultan.
Needed to follow up and provide more
                      information. CPT Bupp followed up
information, info as follows: 2 1/2T
truck belonging to the 2/313th FA was on
fire. Vehicle is on MSR Sultan, approx
65km north of Riyadh. Vehicle is hauling
105mm HE, Illum, Fuzes, and 5.56mm
mixed. MAJ Barns, ARCENT PMO, 9-7804-794
informed CPT Bupp that the Saudis were
going to move the truck off the MSR. CPT
Bupp told MAJ Barnes the following: (2d
Bde 3/19th FA) 1. 74th EOD would respond
in 12 hrs to determine the condition of
the "Hot Ainino". Wait time is required
because of high possibility of cook
offs. 2. Inform Saudis what is on the
truck prior to moving if they insist on
moving the truck prior to EOD response.
                      3. Move the truck as far off the MSR as
possible (safe distance). 4. The 74th
would be on location on or about 1400
hrs 23 Jan 91. Unless told otherwise by
the on site MPs or the 2/313th FA. CPT
Bupp passed on EODs phone no. Told MA
313th FA not to
move their amo until cleared by EOD or
55X personnel. MAJ Barns informed us
that fire was out, but didn't know how
long items were in fire, when fire was
put out or the extent of damage to the
truck or ammo. Notified SFC seibe and
                      passed on all information.

         23 Jan 91
0250 MAJ Barnes states that ammo truck was Bupp
moved just off the side of MSR Sultan

0920 Informed by CPT Wilson that MAJ Hogan, Paksi
Force Structure is POC for orders.
                      Should have results by Friday.
