              SUMMARY:

EQs 54 was the 2d M3A2 from the right and had begun backing away
along with the other four Bradleys following EQs 55 being hit.
HQs 54 was hit by 2 successive RPGs. Both rounds penetrated on
the right side, one to the right of the plenum chamber and one
into the plenum chamber. These rounds i~ediately caused a
catastrophic fire which burned for approximately 12 hours. The
fire suppression system did not activate and the crew suspects
that it was on manual and not activated in the confusion. The
upper portion of the vehicle collapsed into the hull and nothing
appeared to be salvageable when the vehicle was recovered. The
driver had been killed instantlr, the BC's left leg was
amputated, and the gunner had burns on his hands and face.
