- 1435, 3/9 moved up to its attack position for the 2d obstacle belt amid
sporadic artillery and mortar shellfire.
- 1500, 1/11 and TF 81MM mortars initiate planned neutralization fires on
2d obstacle belt.
- 1520, 3/9 began breach of 2d obstacle belt OS 890860. Same type of
obstacles. Red lanes line charge didn't detonate.
- 16eO, Only one lane was open and operational, the other being fouled by
disabled mine-roller tank; work was underway on a back-up lane.
- 1610, 3/9 engaged 5 T-55 tanks on north side of 2d breach, killing two.
3/9 engaged enemy with Cobra's, tank main guns, artillery (1/11) and
81MM no-tars, as well as integral infantry direct fire weapons.
- 1615, 3/9 incurred 10 casualties from enemy mortar fire during the
breachhead expansion.
- 1615, Enemy forces facing TF at 2d obstacle belt identified as 22d
Brigade, 5th Mechanized Division. Ist Tanks passed through the only

with 3/11 in trace.
- 0659, CFL 2 in effect.
- 0804, 3/11 began moving through 1st obstacle belt breach.
- 0830, 5/11 Recon, Survey and advance parties displaced through TF
Grizzly breach site.
- 0900, 3/12 began displacement by echelon displacing 1 3/14 through
breach in order to provide continuous direct support to TF Grizzly.
