        - 2300, 'B' Co sends plt to Fwd CP, I plt west of Burqan.
        - By the end of the day. TF w/its four companies screens north of
          Division along
          15 grid line and east along the western border of the Al Burgan oil
          field. No casualties or lost equipment for this day.

        TASK FORCE XRAY
        - Mission delayed due to enemy counter attacks.
        - 0220, TF pos QS 587061.
        - e620, TF not launched for helo assault into LZ due to extreme
          circumstances, enemy counter attacks.

        TASK FORCE TROY
        - Squad from B Co reports small arms fire vic TM 164593 near OP E.
          Elements of BLT 3/1 deploy into AO. Join HMG Plt 3/1.

        TASK FORCE PAPA BEAR
        - 0200, TF begins movement to attack pos, 3/9 in lead, followed by Ist
          Tanks and 2/1.
        - 0533, TF crosses PL Black (the border of Saudi/Kuwait).
        - 0745, Entire TF in attack pos.
        - 0748, 3/9 crossed LOD and moved to assault position (vic QS 730730).
        - Recon element returns from lat obstacle belt OS 765765 and reports no
          enemy sighted.
        - 09e5, 3/9 commenced breach of lat. belt OS 765765.
        - lst obstacle belt consisted of a front wire fence, 120 m deep AP/AT
          minefield and a rear wire fence, single strand.
        - OCO's launched line charges (red lane - 3 fired) (green lane - 2 fired)
          extremely effective.
        - Lanes proofed by track with mine plow.
        - 0940, 3/9 completed two lanes through the obstacle belt. 1st Tanks,
          then "A' Command, then 1/1 passed through.
        - 1030, Breach support teams breach/proofed two add lanes. Total of 4
          lanes were completed.
        - 1040 3/9 had eat a 2000 M x 3000 M breachhead. No enemy encountered.
          1/1 @assed thru right lane at OS 788777, 1/1 attack SE along minefield
          to clear troop pos and vehicle revetments. No enemy present, 1/1
          moved to NW corner of Warden camp awaiting 2d breach.
          Ist Tanks expanded north, receiving sporadic Arty fire.
          Cobra's on station yielded the destruction of several. mortar tubes, two
          tanks and a number of bunkers.
          1200, 3/9 commenced recon 2d obstacle belt. Recon CAT team came under
          fire, 120 mm mortar/arty fire and requested air to suppress the enemy.
        - Air on station, Cobra's AV8B's, OV-10, they destroyed 1 FO tower, 2
          mortar bunkers, 2 T-55 tanks, 1 infantry bunker.
        - 1205, A-11 TF assault battalions through the breach. No resistance
          encountered. Breach support team created two additional lanes.
        - 1205, TF "A" Command established CP (vic OS 792784).
        - 1400, TF log trains completed displacement through the Ist obstacle
          belt.
