         1340, AH-1 Cobra reports 50 tanks attempting to surrender vic OS
         91-7835.
         1400, TF Taro '6' and '3' displace to QS 917835 to observe surrender of
         tank force.
         1804, Btry A 1/12 reports gas, assumes MOPP-4. Decon team reports all
         clear at 1848 returned to MOPP-1.
        -2007, 3/3 reports 62 EPW's surrendered vic OS 928576.
        -2100, C Co (-) attached to 1/12 for security.
        -2110, 1/12 provided fire cap for XRay, Papa Bear and Taro throughout
         the day.

        TF GRIZZLY
        -1028, Recon teams recon 2/7 and 3/7 attack pos3:tion east of Al Jaber
         airfield.
        -1130, 3/7's Ist element at 2d minefield at OS 810940. Movement
         delayed due to reports of enemy armor NE of minefield.
        -1602, 3/7 begins clearing of Al Jaber Airfield, 1 company of 2/7 in
         reserve.
        -1630, 3/7 in place for attack of Al Jaber.
        -1640, 2/7 reports 13 EPW's with 5 more coming in thru airport perimeter
         fence.
        -1645, 3/7 Engineers/STA team blow holes in airport fence line, I
         engineer WIA.
        -1722 3/7 prep fire for Al Jaber begins. Bn 81's fire 96 HE quick/
         dela@ mix, at OT 736047, Artillery fires at OT 714046 and 724042.
        -1730, 3/7 'I' Co receives incoming rocket fire.at OT 746046. my"

         receives unknown incoming at OT 741053, 10 WIA, I KIA. Forwa-d CP
         receives report of gas attack, apparently from TF Ripper, TF goes to
         MOPP IV.
        -1745, TF forward returns to MOPP II after testing.
        -1745-0600, TF went to MOPP IV three additional times during late
         night and early morning hours, based on reports from adjacent units.
         No impact on operations as the TF continues.
        -1746, 3/7 "K' Co attacks Al. Jaber Airfield and establishes a foothold
         at OT 733053.
        -1840, 2/7 reports a total of 27 EPW's.
        -2040 3/7 81's fire continues illumination (53 rds) at OT 753053.
        -2100, 3/7's attack suspended due to darkness and oil smoke, 32 EPW's
         taken between 1530 and 2000.


        TASK FORCE TROY
         8 Co conducts combat patrol vic TM 125580, no contact. Section TOWs
         SLT 3/1 and Pit A Co, Ist Recon Bn chop. 5 AH-1J Cobras engage Tower
         vic OS 922605, 3 buildings destroyed, 2 secondary explosions observed.
         aOth Independent Armored Brigade departs Wafrah cultivated area and
         attacks Papa Bear in the vicinity of the Burqan oil fields. Quartering
         party for TF Troy evades sporadic Arty fire enroute Div Main CP.
         Elements BLT 3/1 deploy in AO. Detach 60 Marines B 1/25.

        TASK FORCE XRAY
        - Inserted at Alt LZ - moved thru 2d breech. Attached to TF Papa Bear.
