         G-3/27 FEB 91


         PRIDE
         -0320, Division continues attack forward to clear MEF obj C, Kuwait
          International Airport.
         -0630, Div Fwd COC displaces to I MEF (obj C) Kuwait City International
          Airport, arrived at approx 0900.
         -1100, Ordered Div Main up to KIA. No enemy encountered. TF Shepherd
          cleared KIA, and collected approx 30 EPW's.
         -1615, Division assumed MOPP level zero.

         TASK FORCE SHEPHERD
         -0300, TF moves south on highway vic TN 128403 then west along highway
          vic TN 13734 to approach airport from south side, EPAC moving north.
         -0330, TF receiving RPG/Tracers from south of airfield, no affect on TF.
         -0430, 2 Co's abreast, 'A" & 'C' Co enter the airport compound. "A" Co
          (west flank) finds AP mines/3 EPW's and destroys APC.
         -0630, "A" Co raises colors US/USMC at new Div CP location. Sqt
          Ederwijn Ist p1t.
         -0657, 'C' Co strikes Iraqi flag and raises Kuwait National flag at the
          airport. Airfield secure - building cleared.
         -0800, 'A' Co clears emergency runway for OV-10 with problem - not
          needed.                                                                    I
         -TF assumes security for Airport until TF Taro arrives. The past 4 days
          of fighting the TF suffered no casualties or losses of equipment from
          enemy fire.

         TASK FORCE GRIZZLY
         - 0950, 2/7 in blocking position vic OT 713099. Conducts screen up to
          the 22 E-W grid line. Recon picks up 22 EPW's.
         - 1400, Recon is patrolling north and west of Al Jaber Airfield.

         TASK FORCE PAPA BEAR
         - 0200, 3/9 was directed to pull back to positions ouside of the KIA
          perimeter fence. Visibility was near zero in heavy smoke and
          darkness. The Movement was completed by 0430, and a new defense
          position established (vic OT 8635).
         - 0800, Enemy resistance had ceased in TF sector.

         TASK FORCE TARO
         -e43G, TF  Taro 'A' Cmd and 2/3 (-) depart Burqan Oil Field en route to
          Division  Forward CP.
         -0745, TF  Taro 'Al Cmd group and 2/3 (-) arrive Kuwait International
          Airport. Effect link up with TF Shepherd and commence security and
          clearing  operations.
         -0800, 2/3 receives sniper and RPG fire from SW of Kuwait international
          Airport.
         -leGe, 2/3 begins clearing airport. Establishes EPW holding cell.
         -1500, 3/3 arrives at Kuwait International Airport and commences
          security ops.
          21sa, TF Taro secures 82 EPW's captured in or around Kuwait airport.
