				CRITICAL ISSUE 
SUBJECT: HARDENING 
 
OBSERVATION:  Little has been done to protect personnel, critical 
equipment, and aircraft. Sandbags and revetment kits were ordered to 
start tbe process. Each location was provided an initial distribution 
of 100,000 bags. 
 
ACTION: Sandbags and shovels bave been sent to six of our most 
forward locations. Aircraft revetment kits are coming via sealift. 
Berming of munitions and POL is in progress.
