the resources to be giving away anything extra. All of our C-
130's were cancelled for the day except one which departed at
1700 L. Don't forget the morale of the troops up there. We
shipped 200 steaks to them for a cookout.

- The communcation with the FOL still stinks. There is no clear
chain of info being passed and it is causing alot of inconvient
wake ups in the middle of the night.

- CENTAF is sending a Captain and a Chief to get a Spectroil and
then fly with it to the FOL and get it running. Not sure what
they can do that our NDI hasn't. At least this way they'll stop
asking us questions and thinking that we broke it.

- Got the war clicks this morning from Hahn for the BAI jets.

- We are going to start phases tonite. We have the personnel to
do two a night if all goes well. The combat phase takes between
7 to 10 hours. We currently have 32 jets under twenty hours in
the negative. Once we are out of this hole, we will start the
complete phase and do the strut change, ECA TCTO, flap inspection
and gun annuals. We are due in for another team and as soon as
they get here we will do one phase per AMU per night.

- a/c 1217 had a NWS problem again(third time). They found a bad
relay this time and replaced it. Ops check good, the a/c flew
back to home station this evening. We threw some jack pads on
the C-130.

- a/c 1215 had a hung JFS start. They R squared the engine with
one of the two they had up there. Pilot ran out of crew rest.
We are working at getting a replacement non-FCF engine up there
and the bad one home.

- This Wednesday we are tenatively planning our first rotation of
folks out of the FOL. In a nutshell, I want to spread the
workload evenly across the three AMU's and will rainbow the
people accordingly. Also, each AMU will launch an eight ship to
double turn up there so the work load is more evenly distrubuted
there and here. Each week we will have approximately 2/3 of the
old timers there with a fresh influx of 1/3 of the people. We
have a C-130 dedicated to this and we plan on sending the initial
65 pax.

- We flew 127 out of 128 sorties. Our FCF for 1165 air aborted
for cabin pressure.

FEB 12: DAY 27

- We are sending parts up to the FOL to fix the engine off of a/c
1215 rather then send a new one up there. An ESS controller also
issued to send north to fix a/c 1416 which was placed in a travel
pod for when the pilot RTB's.
