President Bush asked all nations to help fund the multinational effort. 2 September (U) Fourteen F-lllFs from the 48th Tactical Fighter Wing (494th Tactical Fighter Squadron, RAF Shaikh, United Kingdom) deployed to Taif, Saudi Arabia, bringing the total to 32. During the course of the Deployment, MAC moved 618 personnel and 483 tons of equipment.
