SUBJECT: Reserve Augmentation (IRR Assignments)
BACKGROUND: IRRs received assignments on the last day of processing at
Lackland AFB and then were given travel time and sometimes leave before
proceeding to their assignment.
DISCUSSION: 8ases were rarely notified of the names of individuals assigned
prior to their arrival. This prevented the bases from providing appropriate
inprocessing activities.
ACTION RECOMMENDATION: HQ AFMPC insure, as a minimum, that nam,es of
individuals are provided to appropriate MAJCOMS, who could forward names to
base activities.
