            Cdr's Comments: Safety Day on 16 Nov very successful and well received by
            troops. 618 EN Co (-) prepares for move to lst CAV DIV area. A&B Plt released
            from Ist Bde to revert to SS under Bn control. 2/618 remains attached to
            B/307. Decision required on occupants of 5000-man LSA to permit completion of
            master plan. Low OR rate SEE (7/25 NMC) and D58 dozers (8/17 NMC) being
            investigated by maintenance officer and LAO.

            Cdr's Comments: We continue to be critically short of Arabic linguists. This
            problem has been evident for several weeks but is more a+ a problem now owing
            to return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists. At this point in time, we have
            21 linguists on hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission
            with high standards.
