          operational.

          307th EN:                                                  Submitted: 03 Oct 90

          Cdr's Comments: Sent a recon to potential DISCOM LSA today. Was not encouraged
          as it appears to be atop sabkhat. Will confirm. Progress at PEGASUS BASE is good;
          will withdraw equipment used for Phase I within days. Preparing for projects at ALI
          and KHALID Range, to include DIVARTY fire base and 3-71@ TTS Range. Also working
          closely with 3d Bde to insure their LSA development is on line. We have acquired
          some data on Italian mines (used by Iraq) from the manufacturer. May be of use to
          6-2.

          Cdr's Comments: We continued to be critically short of Arabic linguists. This
          problem has been evident +or several weeks but is more of a problem now owing to
          return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists. At this point in time, we have 21
          linguists an hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission with high
          standards.

          3-4 ADA:                                                   Submitted: 03 Oct 90

          Cdr's Comments: The Battalion (-) conducted its weekly     PT run this morning. Team
          Delta (-) continues to provide air defense and an order    ground fires in support of
          the 82d Aviation Brigade at AA PEGASUS. Deployment of twenty-one (21) personnel and
Vs from Fort Bragg remains our top deployment
          priority.
