           1ST BDE:                                                    Submitted; 02 Oct 90

           Cdr's Comments: The graduation of the Brigades's Train to Lead course was conducted
           today. 30 young soldiers preparing to be fully proficient junior NCO's achieved
           success in the very demanding two week course. The program, which includes a field
           phase was so successful it will be conducted again next month and will become a
           permanent part of the NCO development program, both here in Saudi Arabia and back in
           Fort Bragg.

           Cdr's Comments: Activities we are conducting with civilians here are proving to be
           extremely positive outlets for our soldiers. Enthusiasm today, an both sides, was
           higher than an any JRTX at Sicily.

           Cdr's Comments: 3-505 begins to focus on their EXEVAL this upcoming week with Co
           level FTX's and the following week with a Dn FTX. 1-50b will conduct squad and
           platoon live fires at ALI Range next week. Ammunition management is necessary to
           allow maximum utilization of live fire ranges in the future.

           Cdr's Comments: Requisitions leaving the Division continue to experience some
           problems getting into the wholesale system. The program is being worked with COSCOM
           and LOS Center Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARBS) technicians.

           3-73 ARMOR:                                                 Submitted: 02 Oct 90

           Cdr's Comments: Require additional smoke grenade stocks to mark positions for CAS
           missions. All 19D's (non deployables excluded) at Fort Bragg need to be shipped to
           Saudi Arabia ASAP. All new 19D's must go through the school of the Sheridan and TTS
           transition prior to being fully integrated Tank Crew. 15 Nov 90 is a good target
           date for receiving all 19D's left at Fort Bragg.
