         SUBJECT: Law and Order Significant Activities (SISACTS)


                  (2) Stolen Weapon. On 2 Oct 90, a PFC from D Co, 1/187th Regt,
         reported that his M16A2 rifle was removed by unknown means and unknown
         persons while unsecured and unattended at warehouse #20, King Abdul Aziz
         Seaport. A thorough search of the area met with negative results. The
         investigation continues by CID (MPR# 62260).

                  (3) Traffic Accident. On 2 Oct 90, a SGT from 2/327th Inf, while
         operating a HMMWV traveling east down the on-ramp leading to Ibukhaldoon
         Road, attempted to cross three eastbound lanes of traffic to execute a
         U-turn onto the westbound lanes of lbukhaldoon Road. As he attempted the
         U-turn, the SBT struck the right front passenger door of a Mazda sedan
         driven by a Saudi national who was traveling east in the middle lane of
         Ibnkhadoon Road. There was property damage to both vehicles; however,
         there were no reported injuries. Both Saudi Police and US Military Police
         responded to the accident. The SGT was found to be at fault in the
         accident CMPR# 62279).

                  (4) US/Saudi Incident. On 6 Oct 90, a soldier on guard duty
         challenged a vehicle with 3 occupants. The vehicle apparently did not
         respond to the challenge so the soldier fired 2 warning shots. The vehicle
         then stopped and the soldier fired 3 more warning shots to get the
         individuals to exit the vehicle. Contract security, US Military Police,
         and counterintelligence personnel talked to the Saudis and later released
         them.

         5. Number of violations of Policy Letter 1-10, Entry Into Populated
         Areas: 2. This compares with 3 violations reported last week and 40
         violations reported two weeks ago.

         6. Number of speeding citations issued: 64. This is compared to 57
         citations issued last week.
