          APPENDIX 10 (Public Affairs) to ANNEX E (Personnel) to OPLAN 5-90


          1. Coordinate all PAO support through the Bde S-1. POC is MAJ
          Weddle/SFC Crockett.


             Use the following guidelines in reference to privately owned
          cameras:


             a.  Do not take pictures of Saudi Arabian people without
          permission.

             b. Do not photograph MOSqLtOS.

             C. Do not photograph military installations, air, or
          seaports.

          3. News Media in Area of Operation.

             a. News media representatives must be escorted while in AO.
          Units must in-Form Bde PAO immediately prior to allowing news
          media into AO.


             b. You do not have to talk to the press if you don't want
          to.


             C. Always protect classified information. (Do not discuss
          weapon systems, geographic location or size of units, speculate
          or reveal future planned operations.

             d. Avoid statements that are offensive to the host nation.


             e. All comments will be taken on the record.
