            A number of these items are first time acquisitions and will
            save   over    250   million   dollars in foreign materiel
            acquisition.

                           The Soldiers, Airmen,. Sailors, Marines and
            Civilians il an outstanding lob climbing numerous obstacles
            to attain mission succes@.- The information and equipment
            gathered, will rovide the foundation for doctrine in many
            instances and sked light on areas that will need refining in
            order to meet the demands of Airland Battle in the future.
            The e@uipment that will be shipped to CONUS for detailed
            exploi ation will be incorporated in on-qoinq efforts to
            develop and improve existing weapons systefas throughout DOD.
