Prior to the air campaign the company base
along with the two remaining TI teaifs, &o;tinued tb Z:onduc@
training. NBC training, along with establishing everyday
operations, were the focus. The-teams dili4@ntly -performed
final preparation and coordination for their d&plbyment to
their r@sp@ctive corps area.
7. During the multinational forces air campaign,
which beg6n-on 17 Jan 1991, the teams were tasked to respond
to corps and MARCENT units who had located or acquired
captured enemy equipment through Iraqi attrition. TI
reports were provi ed to their respective G-2 and to the
JCNEC. After performing the initial analysis of the
materiel, it was expeditiously evacuated back tb th* JCMEC
for further analysis by base personnel. Additiorfally in
this time-frame, the teams continued to provide intelligence
.briefings to personnel of their supported corps in the areas
of NBC, medical and foreign equipment.
S. t&) Both the team and base analysts continued to
rovide Technical intelligence support to the KTO through
Eoth the air and ground cam aign, with the latter ending on
28 Feb 1991. Teams screeneg the battlefield for material of
intelligence value. The base element analysts continued to
provide-detailed analysis of captured equipment.
9. NJ Beginning the first week of March, TI teams #2
and #3, along with several smaller task-organized teams from
the llth Cb. base, began running battlefield screening
operations out of Camp Freedeom in Kuwait City (JCMEC FWDY
and a small Marine camp ust south of Khafji-, SA. The bulk
ort -of the Defense
Intelligenc@ Agency validated collection plan was located
and recovered ifi KuTaait. Team #1 continued to screen the
battlefields in Iraq in support of the XVIII ABN Corps.
This operation resulted in the gathering of numerous itbms
on the battalion's TI collection and FMT plans.
10. In the second week of March, base analysts
began screening the seaports of Dammam and Jubail for
foreign materiel that b6pturihq units were attempting to
evacuate to CONUS. This allowed for the identification and
subsequent exploit6tion of much more materiel. This
screening process continued until redeployment took place.

Team #3 returning on the 22nd of March.
