                   a. (U) Support Personnel:

                       (1) (U) Intially, shortages were experienced primarily
              in Directorate of Logistics, Adjutant General, and DPTM.

                       (2) (U) As tenant units were alerted to deploy, critical
              shortages developed in AG, Finance, Military Police, and Medical
              (Air Ambulance).

                       (3) (U) As Ist ID (M) deployed, Garrison Operations
              became difficult to properly man.

                       (4) (U) As PROFIS cqtlls depleted medical staff, Fort
              Riley experienced shortages in medical personnel.

                   b. (U) Rail loading facilities are limited, as are sidings
              +or assembling loaded trains.

                   c. (U) Aviilability of Chemical Defense Equipment.

                   d. (U) APOE (Forbes Field) is 60 miles east of Fort Riley at
              Topeka, KS. Facilities there for holding pax pending arrival of
              aircraft are inadequate. Useable ramp area is limited pending
              repaving of several areas of ramp.
