           92nd received the mission to fly a 100 man element, with equipment,

           to begin crucial vertical construction missions in Eastern Saudi

           Arabia. This was to be in support of soldier Life Support Area

           (LSA) construction. Bravo Company was selected; however Time

           Phased Deployment List (TPFDL) manipulations changed the date and

           Bravo Company was sent as the first 92nd line company on 21 October

           1990.

                While line companies worked to finish deploying the 24th ID

           (MECH), the Headquarters and staff planned for the battalion's

           eventual deployment. Several engineer planning meetings were held

           at both Fort Bragg, North Carolina (20th Engineer Brigade) and Fort

           Benning, Georgia (36 Engineer Group); meanwhile, loadout of the

           92nd ECB (H) equipment began with railloads departing Ft.Stawart

           for JAXPORT, Jacksonville, Florida on 22 September. The ALEX

           BONNYMAN, the first of 11 ships began loading the battalion's

           equipment on 26 September, with the last ship,the BALDOMERO LOPEZ,

           finally loading on 23 October. A breakout of the 11 ships along
