    20 FEB
    Fi>ced-site pay missions completed with no problems.
    MFST mission to 401st MP (EPW) and 300th FLD HOSP (Tm 1) departed at
    1030.
    MFST mission to lst Tiger Bde (Tm 3) departed at 0600.
    Transportation was provided by MSG Colon, Finance Liasion NCO for Ist
    Tiger Bde.
    MFST mission to LOBBASE Bastogne (Tm 5) returned at 1600.
    1130--lLT Denham, SSG Smith and SGT Moore departed -For Dammam Port
    and ARCENT FAO. lLT Denham dropped off/picked up Disbursing business
    at ARCENT.   SSG Smith and SGT Moore proceeded to pick up two
    civilian sedan vehicles coordinated by LTC Arteaga.
    1600--MFST mission (Tm 5) returned from LOGBASE Bastogne. Mission
    completed with no problems. LES's for 1207th OM were returned; unit
    not in LOGBASE Bastogne's AO.

    21 FEB
    Fi>ted-site pay missions completed with no problems.
    MFST mission to 401st MP (EPW) and 300th FLD HOSP (Tm 1) still in
    progress.
    MFST mission to Ist Tiger Bde (Tm 3) still in progress.
    0800--SGT Inglis, PSNCO, Tiger Bde, came by to inform us that MSG
    Colon and our pay team (#3) had an auto accident on the way to Tiger
    Bde area--rolled the vehicle but no one was hurt. Team proceeded on
    to complete pay mission. Dispatched a second team (#5) to Tiger
    Bda's AO.
    1700--Scud alert siren. Two Scud missiles targeted towards Hafra
    Al-Batin (56 km from KKMC) were destroyed by Patriots.
    1715--"All clear!" given.

    22 FEB
    Fixed-site pay missions completed with no problems.
    MFST mission (Tm 5) to pay Navy SEALS departed at 0800, and completed
    with no problems.
    0900--Cdr and cashier departed for 401st EPW Camp to check on the pay
    teams and EPW finance operations and to coordinate with newly arrived
    193d MP Bn HO.S/1112S Detachment. Upon arrival learned no EPW's were on
    hand; all had been transferred to Saudi control. CPT Tomberlin
    informed they were collecting only those dinares over 1,000 and still
    initiating a payroll record on each, though they were being
    transferred in most cases in less than two weeks.
    1430--Tm I returned from 2-day mission to 401st EPW Camp and 300th
    FLD HOSP.


    23 FEB
    0500--Scud alert siren.
    0515--"All clear!" given by CFOC.
    Fixed-site pay missions completed with no problems.
    1300--Tms 3 and 5 returned from mission to Ist Tiger Bde. SGT
    Washington, Tm Ldr for Tm 3, informed the Cdr of the details of their
    one-car accident and their short stay in the hospital before
    continuing their mission.                               were given
    x-rays, evaluated, and released.
    24 FEB                             5 U.S.C. 552 (b)(6)
    0100--Presidential spokesman Marlin Fitzwater said the time for the
    ground war to begin (G-DAY)--B p.m. Saturday Washington time (0100
    GMT Sunday)--was selected shortly after U.S. Defense Secretary Dick
    Cheney and Colin Powell, the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff,
    returned -from their visit to the war zone earlier this month.
