definitely the weak point in the drivel inc. They siaply break
apan, unable to hold the to~e 0£ the engine. The biggest problem
is in re~a=se gear.
on ~36 Wrec~ers, a problem exists that can cause mediate total
failure of the at:tc~atic transmission. ~f the ~ohicIe is
configured to use the raar winch or crane, and the engine ~N' B
drop below 1250, the trana~ssion clutches ie~lately Chatter.
This chattering, caused by the clutches ~uiping back and fortb
between the gears, lasts about 1~2 secOnds, an~ failure i~
catastrophic. Make sure to keep those ~` $ ~ I Make sure that
if the crew is holding `:p the RPX' S using the dash lever, it is
secure! It should be noted that the N92~ ~t=p T~ick, which has a
PTC, does not have the problem.
Other problems in the dust involved the Fan Clutch actuator~. They
are ~ted to atnospheric air, allowing du~t into the inter~al
parts, causing failure. Iring lots of spares.
The bra3:es, including parlcing bra)ce, get full of a~t, impairing
performance. As with the Ium~er, windshields will get scratched
by wipers if used during dusty conditions. A condition that ~any
times muSt be accepted.
