provided. Liaison was established with 1/25 to discuss its
role as EPW handlers for the Task Force. The logistics section
coordinated a logistical TEWT which allowed units to exercise
the concept of moving log trains through the breach and
establishing the RAS. Final meetings were held to discuss log
train movement to the LOD and tacticai overlays were provided
to the units as G-Day approached. The logistics concept is
identified in Task Force Op Order Annex D. G-Day operations
and the isolation of Kuwait International Airport are
thoroughly covered in the Task Force Summary of Action, Upon
cease fire of Operation Desert Storm, coordination was made
with Division to turn in all Llriexperided ammunition to ASP#3
near Al- Mishab.
ORDNANCE
The ordnance section continued to receive ordnance and
equipment for the Task Force. Six E1470 50 cal. sniper
rifles were received; both 1/1 and 3/9 received three each.
Additionally, 75 ANPVS-7B Night Vision Goggles were received
and distributed. Several LOC vehicles were configured with
crew-served mounts for weapons systems to provide mobile
security for both the LOC and log trains.
MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT
The month of February allowed the task force to conduct a
maintenance stand down. Throughout this period the task force
maintained a high level of combat readiness. Average readiness
was 96.8%. Final log stat reconciliation was completed iin an
effort to reflect accurate figures, which allowed for planning
by both the Task Force CO and Division Staff. MIMMS procedures
were manually conducted. Input would be later punched once an
automated service was established.
MOTOR TRANSPORT
Upon the arrival of the remaining Headquarters Company
and 111's equipment/vehicles, the motor transportation section
coordinated the return of temp-loaned equipment. An innovative
effort was made as the section configured a TOW variant HMMWV
that provided the Regimental Air Officer with increased
communications capabilities. The section assisted several Task
Force units with maintenance contact teams and refueling as
required.
SUPPLY
Efforts continued in requesting unique supply items.
Grappling hooks, bolt cutters, air panels, GPS, and laser
goggles were several items procured. Reconciliation with
